Honourable Jim Bradley Greets Volunteers

April 20, 2004 – On the occasion of National Volunteer week, as Minister of Tourism and Recreation, I would like to take this opportunity to recognize the tremendous achievements and vital contribution that you are making as volunteers in the field of sport and recreation.
Your participation and dedication is having a profound positive impact on the province, contributing in real ways to healthier Ontarians in a healthier Ontario. Volunteers strengthen our communities and improve our quality of life. Through your efforts, you are enriching not only your own lives but also the lives of children, youth and adults in schools and organizations you support across this province. Your example demonstrates to all of us that volunteering is a wonderful way to give something back.
To you, the 660,000 volunteers active in sport and recreation in Ontario today, I offer my sincere appreciation and heartiest congratulations. To the rest of my fellow Ontarians, I say: “Count yourself in. Volunteer!”
Yours sincerely,
Jim Bradley
Minister
