July 5, 2010 (Rocacorba, Spain) – Here’s a video from the Team Garmin-Transitions blog of Canada’s Ryder Hesjedal attempting to break the Girona area’s Rocacorba climb record, which was set at 28:45 by Dan Martin in 2009. The climb is 13.3km long and gains nearly 800 vertical metres with several sections that reach a grade of 15%. Hesjedal is followed in the team car by physios who are ready to take a blood sample for lactate testing.
