July 27, 2004 – USA Cycling was notified today that Sue Haywood has elected to challenge the ruling from the American Arbitration Association (AAA) which named Mary McConneloug to the U.S. Olympic Mountain Bike Team on July 20, 2004.

USA Cycling supports and respects both athletes’ rights to fully pursue all of their options in resolving this matter. USA Cycling will cooperate throughout this process and respect the decision of the court.
