November 3, 2006 – The Hardwood “˜Cross race scheduled for Saturday Nov. 4 has had to be cancelled due to the enormous snowfall over the last 24 hrs and forecasted again for Friday night.

We have had over 30 cms of snow last night and this morning and it is still dumping! The forecast is for continued squalls and -4 C tonight. The trail crew has been working furiously trying to clear a course with snowblowers, plows, shovels, and even a parking lot tractor snowblower. The snow is too thick and heavy to effectively clear a path, and with temperatures well below freezing, it will just make for dangerous riding.

We apologize for any inconvenience this causes, but do not see any real alternative. This event cannot be rescheduled in the near future without affecting other organizers. Riders will be contacted to arrange refunds.
