October 11, 2003 – The men's race is slowly becoming a bit more agressive as a few riders attack on the flat sections. Bobby Julich (USA) is nearly two minutes behind going through the start  and stopped briefly at the pits as if to abandon, but then quickly remounted. All Canadians are still riding comfortably, with Perras and Walters prominent at the front.
