August 10, 2012 (Victoria, BC) – Hey everyone – next week we’ll be hosting the OrganicAthlete Omnium, on Thursday and Friday nights (the 16th at 17th). It’ll be in place of the regular Thursday program, and add a night of racing on the Friday night. It’s just over 1 week to Provincials, so a good opportunity to fine-tune your racing!

Here are the evening details to unleash your inner Tara Whitten or Zach Bell!!

Thursday, August 16th, 6:30pm start
OA Omnium Day 1
Events: Flying Lap, Points Race, Elimination

Friday, August 17th, 6:30pm start
OA Omnium Day 2
Events: Pursuit, Scratch, 500m/Kilo

Will be running as an A, B & C event, and will filter out Junior (various ages) and Women’s results.

Race order will be C, B and A for each event.  Distances will be appropriate for the Category, ie, C’s will run a 2k Pursuit, and 4k Pursuit for A’s.

We’ll have some fun prizes (mainly by draw) and the event will have a heavy Junior focus. And there is no greater honour than being an OrganicAthlete Omnium Champion – free Vega and Ridley bikes for life! (JUST KIDDING!!)

Volunteers will be needed (holders, lap-counters, timers etc..) – please contact me if you can help out either night.

Racers *can* come for only one night, although won’t feature in the overall Omnium results.
