Great Canadian Outdoor Expo

June 9, 2004 (Woodstock, ON) – The wetland pond is stocked with fish,
the ramp has been built for the motocross show and the off-road tracks have
been designed for the ATV test-drives. The 200-acre site is just about ready
to host the first show of its kind in Canada – the Great Canadian Outdoor
Expo, debuting to all outdoor enthusiasts from June 11-13.
The Expo is unique because it will be Canada’s first outdoor show that is
actually held outdoors. The open-air environment means visitors of all ages
can enjoy a true hands-on experience, whether it’s test-driving almost
anything on wheels, trying out a canoe on the two-acre Ducks Unlimited
Canada Wetland or playing a game of paintball or croquet.

“The excitement is certainly building. Our team is ready, the site is almost
ready and the exhibitors are getting ready,” says Ginty Jocius, president of
the Great Canadian Outdoor Expo. “We are confident that this new event will
deliver on its promise to bring the latest in outdoor living technology and
services to all outdoor enthusiasts.”

A range of outdoor activities will be covered in ten expos: the Backyard
Expo, Camping Expo, Cottage Expo, Gardening Expo, Golf & Games Expo, Hully
Gully the Ultimate Toy Store Water Expo, Kubota Wheels Expo, Maple Lodge
Farms Food Expo, Outdoor Pet Expo and the Shimano Sportsmen Expo.
Organizers are estimating an attendance of 50,000 and more than 250
exhibitors have signed on to participate. The event will take place at
Canada’s Outdoor Park near Woodstock, Ontario, with 50 acres of exhibits and
demonstrations and 150 acres of additional space for off-road test-driving,
hiking trails, free parking and power boat “Ride & Drives” in nearby Pittock
Lake. The “Ride & Drive” concept is one distinct advantage of having an outdoor
venue. Canoes and kayaks can be tested out in the wetland pond right on the
site as part of the Water Expo.

In the Wheels Expo, visitors can participate in “Ride & Drives” for
motorcycles, ATVs, utility vehicles, bikes, riding lawnmowers and more,
including the Jeep Off-Road Test Track. Exhibits of the latest models of
bikes, automobiles and more will be part of the Expo. Also, a freestyle
motocross show will be presented, with professional freestyle riders
showcasing big air tricks.

Highlights of the Shimano Sportsmen Expo include the Shimano Fishing School;
archery and shooting demos; and the Canadian Fishing Tour’s Corporate Pro-Am
Pike Tournament, which will be held in conjunction with the Expo.
The Camping Expo will include an interactive camping village with over 100
tents set up so visitors can get right in and check them out. The 1840s Fur
Trade Rendezvous will also set up an encampment presenting a living history
display of life in the 1840s.

Visitors can learn how to enhance their outdoor living space in the Backyard
and Cottage Expos, where pools, patios, hot tubs, docks and landscaping
demos will be the focus.

For garden fans, the Gardening Expo will comprise garden tools, gardening
tips, a full-scale model garden, the Gardening Speaker Series and more.

For sports fans, the Golf & Games Expo will include putting and driving
greens, outdoor sporting gear and paintball.

Visitors to the Food Expo can enjoy barbecue demos, cookware displays and
outdoor cuisine recipes. There will also be plenty of food vendors on-site.

Finally, the Techni-Cal Amateur Retriever Trials and the Sporting Dogs
exhibit are a highlight of the Outdoor Pet Expo, where companion animals and
their associated products and services will be showcased. All dogs (leashed)
are welcome to the show for free (water buckets and plastic bags will be
provided). The Pet Coliseum will house static exhibits and dog breeds and
the Horse Extravaganza will feature a display of equine exhibits and horse
breeds.

“We are aware that folks today want to see it, test it, drive it and this
new event will provide an opportunity for consumers to test products in real
outdoor conditions,” adds Jocius. “It’s one-stop shopping and we offer a
venue where you can try it, before you buy it!”
