May 21, 2012 (Gatineau, QC) – Clara Hughes (Can) Specialized-lululemon crashed in a corner near the end of the women’s Grand Prix Cycliste Gatineau p/b Hydro-Québec road race. Team Canada’s Rhae Christie Shaw was also involved we understand – see our race coverage here. Hughes recovered quickly and caught back on to finish 9th overall but apparently her saddle hit her back during the crash and she’s soon on her way to the hospital for X-rays to ensure all is ok – more news on this situation as available.
