June 07, 2018 (Gatineau, ON) – The 9th edition of the Grand Prix Cycliste de Gatineau will soon be underway. It is this week that the long-awaited races of the International Cycling Union (UCI) will be held, among others.
Many athletes from the international women’s elite will compete in the Team Online Race on a 104.4 km closed circuit on Thursday night (June 7) as well as the individual time trial lap on a closed circuit of 17.3 km Friday night (June 8th).It is with regret that we must announce the absence this year of some athletes due to injury, including 2017 UCI Chrono Champion Lauren Stephens. It will be interesting to see what faces, new or familiar, stand out this year to climb the steps of the podium.
Also missing in this 9th edition: Simone Boilard from Team Canada, Katy Dufour from Mazda, and Kassandra Kriarakis from Rise Racing.
