June 22, 2003 – Today's final stage of the GP de Beauce ended up being just as exciting as the other stages, and the overall race. With a close time gap between race leader John Lieswyn (7-up) and Chris Baldwin (Navigators), the stage was full of attacks. Ultimately, it was Lubor Tesar (Ed's Systems – ZVVZ) who won today's final stage of the GP de Beauce over Canada's Charles Dionne. Dionne goes home empty-handed after coming so close to a stage win all week. Svein Tuft (Prime Alliance) was also part of the breakaway that just managed to hold off the charging field. Tuft was no doubt hoping to repeat his 2001 victory on this stage. John Lieswyn (7-up) took the overall, certainly his most impressive stage race win in recent time. Navigator's Baldwin takes second overall with Eric Wohlberg the top Canadian in fifth. Full results shortly.
