June 20, 2003 – The fourth stage of the Grand Prix de Beauce was the tough 172k circuit ending in the famed Mont Megantic climb. After another early break rolled away, the peloton began chasing, led mostly by the 7-Up team of John Lieswyn. The break was caught as the hills began rolling, and by the time the pack hit the actual Megantic climb, a new break had formed. As the riders attacked up the climb, it was none other than Liewsyn himself that held the wheel of former Beauce winner Tomas Konecny (Ed's System – Zvvz) who won the stage. With tomorrow's double day and important TT looming, wiil Lieswyn's lead of 13 seconds in the overall be enough to keep him on top? Certainly the Czech squad Ed's System – Zvvz would want to see Konecny win this race again..
