January 26, 2007 – Beginning Monday, January 29th, Global News Ontario’s daily sports coverage will be delivered by Rogers Sportsnet Ontario on the 6 p.m. News Hour and 11 p.m. News Final broadcasts.
The partnership between Global News Ontario and Rogers Sportsnet Ontario will provide audiences with an enhanced viewing experience with comprehensive sports coverage that will be unrivalled in the region, delivering daily highlights, scores, breaking news and inside stories from the world of sports.

The live segments will focus on “hometown” sports information from franchises including the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Blue Jays, Toronto Raptors, Toronto Argonauts, Toronto Rock and other leading, local and provincial sports franchises.
