May 24, 2004 (Treviglio, Italy) – On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of
Bianchi, the last stage of Giro d’Italia, scheduled for Sunday May 30,
2004, will pass by Bianchi’s famous factory in Treviglio. Bianchi is taking
the opportunity to open the doors of its production departments, organizing
a special tour to show and let all his fans know the production steps of
its famous bicycles.
From 9 a.m. to 12.30 a.m., while waiting for the race to pass by Bianchi
around 2.30 p.m., it will be possible to make a Factory Tour through the
production departments, where the technology is dominating, a technology
which helped to make the Bianchi brand known throughout the world. And
that’s not all.
May 30 will give the start to the celebrations for Bianchi’s 120 years,
which will last one year up to the inauguration of the Bianchi Museum which
is due in 2005, an important event in the history of Bianchi, a moment to
be shared with all the fans.
“The Factory Tour is open to everybody – says Stefano Viganò, Marketing and
Communication Manager at Bianchi. “We wished to start the celebrations of
120 years taking advantage of the last stage of Giro d’Italia passing by
Treviglio, a race which has a special meaning to us”.
On the same day Bianchi will make available a selection of bicycles, Road,
MTB, City and Junior for an exciting bike test. On the road stretch near
the factory, Bianchi will set up a platform for a better view of the race
and to greet the riders of its team, the Alessio-Bianchi.
