May 30, 2014 (Cima Grappa, Italy) – Pink jersey holder Nairo Alexander Quintana Rojas (Col) Movistar Team bolstered his advantage over his GC challengers today on the 26.8km Stage 19 mountain time trial with a winning margin of 17s over second place, Fabio Aru (Ita) Astana Pro Team, and 1:26 over Rigoberto Uran Uran (Col) Omega Pharma – Quick-Step Cycling Team, who is currently Rojas’s closest challenger. Canada’s Ryder Hesjedal (Can) Garmin Sharp finished 26th, 5:39 down, falling to ninth in the GC. Svein Tuft (Can) Orica GreenEdge finished 138th on the stage.
