July 2, 2008 – While not yet officially announced Vancouver’s The Province has reported today that Quebec’s Martin Gilbert has been selected to ride with Zach Bell on Canada’s Madison Team in Beijing. According to the article in The Province which was about Tuft winning the Yaletown GP on Canada Day, “the Canadian Cycling Association committee voted 4-1 to select Montreal’s Martin Gilbert instead of Tuft to ride with Bell in Beijing.”

There has been no official announcement yet regarding the Madison Team which was awarded to Canada last minute (read more here) or the selections to the team – The Province.
