April 19, 2013 (North Vancouver, B.C.) – Giant Bicycle Canada is pleased to announce the Grand Re-opening and 25th Anniversary celebration of the newly renovated Giant by Teal Sport store, an exclusively Giant-branded bicycle retailer in Baie-d’Urfé, Québec near Montréal, on April 20th.
“Teal Sport first opened its doors in 1988 at the same location we are at today. During this past winter, we underwent major renovations and we are excited and proud to share the result with our friends and customers at our celebration on April 20th,” said shop owner Tim Stocker.
The festivities include a host of prizes, refreshments, demo bikes for everyone to try, special deals, and gifts. The big ticket prize will be a 2013 Escape RX 1 worth $1,059 that will be raffled off to go home with one lucky winner.
Some of the store’s fresh features include an espresso bar, a gorgeous women’s section, and a new service area. The renovations have modernized the store, creating an open, inviting space and a comfortable venue for speaking with Giant by Teal Sport’s friendly and knowledgeable bicycle experts.
“It was at the age of 15, during my 10-year apprenticeship in my parents’ cycle and hockey shop, which was a true family business, that I first fell in love with cycling. Working on bikes became a passion, no matter what type they were, and I always tried to make them run better than they were designed to,” said Stocker.
Despite the makeover, Stocker’s Giant by Teal Sport clearly continues his family’s tradition of top-notch and friendly service.
“We are incredibly happy with the results of the renovations. The shop is bright, clean, and beautiful. It is absolutely the type of place I would enjoy going bike shopping with my family,” said Giant Bicycle Canada’s Deputy General Manager, Paul Nash. “I congratulate Tim [Stocker] and his crew for doing such a fantastic job. It’s such a fitting way to celebrate 25 years of serving the community.”
In addition to the demos and swag, April 20th will also feature representatives from Giant Bicycle Canada, who will be on hand and happy to answer any questions about the company’s wide range of high quality performance bicycles.
On April 21st, the day after Giant by Teal Sport’s Grand Re-opening, the shop will also host a Cyclo Nord-Sud bike drive. Cyclo Nord-Sud refurbishes bikes and gives them to underprivileged individuals in developing countries as tools to help them rise out of poverty.
Unwanted bicycles, tools, and gear can be brought and donated to this great cause at Giant by Teal Sport on April 21st from 10:00a.m. to 2:00p.m., along with a $15 donation, which covers the repair and transportation costs of the bicycles. <To visit the website of this non-profit organization, please go HERE.
