Germany’s ARD Cancels Agreement with Ullrich

September 7, 2006 – The German television station, ARD, has cancelled an agreement with Jan Ullrich, which saw the former T-Mobile star and 1997 Tour de France winner receive up to 195,000 Euros per year in exchange for special interviews and appearances according to an AP report. ARD did not reveal the reasons for breaking the contract.

Meanwhile, according to the German weekly Sport-Bild, the president of the German Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach, has asked Ullrich to “tell all” and submit himself for DNA testing to prove his innocence. Spanish police have many blood samples in their possession from Operacion Puerto and believe some to be Ullrich’s .
