January 28th, 2004 –  Mr. Kevin Wallace, President, of the Gears Racing Institute (“GRI”) is today very pleased to announce the signing of Jesse Jakomait as an additional rider to the 2004 GearsRacing Mountain Bike team.

Jakomait was the overall winner of the 2003 Canada Cup Mountain Bike Race Series, as well as the 2003 Ontario Cup Mountain Bike Race Series.  Recently, the Canadian Cycling Association has appointed Jakomait to the Canadian National Mountain Bike team for 2004.

“We are very excited to have Jesse join our team and firmly believe he will make a positive contribution in the 2004 season, especially for our young riders who look to racers such as Jesse as mentors in a demanding sport” stated Kevin Wallace. Jakomait will be racing as part of the National Senior Elite program with the GRI.
