The president and founder of Louis Garneau Sports has been inducted into
the Quebec Cycling Hall of Fame. Louis Garneau won about 150 road and track
races between 1972 and 1984. Career highlights included participating in
the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, as well as the World Road Cycling
Championships from 1981-1983. Garneau also competed at the 1978 and 1982
Commonwealth Games, and the 1983 World University Games. Besides winning
numerous Canadian and Quebec road and track titles, during his racing
career, Garneau also earned several road victories in the U.S. and in
Europe.
