Garneau-Crocs Wins GP St-Raymond de Portneuf

May 29, 2007 – Once again, the Garneau-Crocs team won the gold medal on Sunday, May 27 at the Grand Prix de St-Raymond. The winner was Jamie Lamb, from Nova Scotia, who crossed the finish line after a 132-km race with a time of 3:10:39. At 98 kms, Lamb followed by Mathieu Toulouse from the EVA-Devinci team, launched the crucial breakaway that brought him victory. Also from the Garneau-Crocs senior team were Michael Joanisse in the 6th place and Jean-François Racine in the 12th place, only 2:38 behind the winner.

Garneau-Crocs Junior Team

The Garneau-Crocs junior team were stand outs as well with for four team riders finishing in the top ten. The junior race was won by Guillaume Boivin (EVA-Devinci) followed his team mate Stéphane Cossette in second.

Garneau-Crocs young rider Antoine Matteau finished in the 3rd place, closely followed by his teammates William Garneau in the 5th place, Jérôme Boucher in the 9th place and Cédrik Dion-Poitras in the 10th place.

Garneau-Crocs riders’ next race will be the Grand Prix de Charlevoix to be held in Baie-St-Paul this coming June 2nd and 3rd. More great performances are expected!
