March 17, 2006 – The Frischi Bike Challenge is back. After missing out for the past two years – the last Challenge was held in 2003 with 1,500 competitors – the 6th edition of the “Mountain Bike challenge for everyone” is now at Engadin-St.Moritz, the same place where my Frischi Bike School is located.

The bike festival at Engadin will begin with a short track race in Pontresina on June 30, followed by the Frischi Bike Challenge in Celerina on July 1, and finishes with a Swisspower Cup race in Samedan on Sunday, July 2. Four different courses are offered from 19K for beginners to 62K for more experienced riders, with 1,620 meters of climbing.

Competitors are guided and supported by some pro friends and myself – Tom Ritchey, Hans Rey and Bart Brentjens will be on hand along with other pros.

At the pasta party on Saturday night we will have a presentation including pro rider interviews as part of the show. The Alta Reiza Freeride movie featuring Hans and myself will also be shown.www.frischibikechallenge.ch
