April 1, 2010 (Quebec City, QC) – Early reports of a freak massive snowfall in Quebec City had residents scrambling for their shovels and some bike shops even reported clearing out some skis. Hard core cyclists were not daunted and many still biked to to work in snowy conditions. Environment Canada says it’s not uncommon for freak storms to hit especially when the seasons are changing. City officials were caught off guard as one commented, “My grandmother always said not to put the shovel away until April.”
