October 12, 2009 – Former Belgian cycling star Frank Vandenbroucke, 34, has been found dead in his hotel room in Senegal room where he had been on holidays reports AFP. The cause of death is unknown and Vandenbroucke who fell from grace following incidents with drugs and alcohol suffered from depression and attempted suicide two years ago. His pro career goes back to 1994 with many victories to his name including his most important win at the Liege-Bastogne-Liege classic, in 1999. Read more here.
