November 2, 2010 (Montreal, QC) – The Quebec Cycling Federation (FQSC) is proud to announce that Josée Robitaille has been promoted to Technical Director of Road and Track. “Over the past year, Josee was able to work with members of the road and track team and share her 25 years of experience. After a year at the FQSC, she now knows the inner workings of the organization, and is ready to tackle new areas and advance all aspects related to road and track cycling,” said FQSC Director General, Louis Barbeau.
“I am very pleased with this vote of confidence from the board and management of FQSC,” said Robitaille. “The first year was obviously very busy and it was a daily learning experience. The people with whom I work have contributed a lot with various aspects related to my job. Their support was vital and greatly appreciated. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank them.”
The former Road and Track Coordinator is excited about the upcoming season which will be challenging but Robitaille sees it as an opportunity. “For 2011, the challenge is great, and one of my priorities is to continue to develop our collaboration with the various clubs and create a structures that maximize the development of talent in Quebec,” she added.
