December 2, 2009 (Montreal, QC) – The Quebec Cycling Federation (FQSC) today named Pascal Choquette as their new coach for the Quebec road team, effective in January 2010. The position also entails coaching paracyclists on the Quebec road team. Choquette was a professional rider during the 1990s, when he rode as part of the Canadian and Quebec teams.
He is a former U23 ITT champion and won gold in the ITT at the 1997 Canada Summer Games in Brandon, MB. Although a road specialist, Choquette also did well in track events, winning a national title in the Madison. FQSC Director, Louis Barbeau praised Choquette’s capacity to work with a team, his varied cycling experience, and his passion for the sport.
