June 24, 2004 (Watsonville, CA) – The big news to come out of FOX Racing
Shox is the introduction of the long-awaited Downhill Fork. The Factory
Edition Downhill Fork debuted at Big Bear for the first U.S. National.
The mountain bike
racing season is in full swing and FOX has had great results, a big thanks
to FOX-sponsored riders. So far the list of FOX-sponsored athletes going
to the Olympics is: Thomas Frischknecht (Team Swisspower/Scott)
Switzerland, Miguel Martinez and Laurence Leboucher (Commencal/Oxbow) –
France, Paola Pezzo – Italy and

FOX is cheering on Alison Dunlap (LunaChix) to qualify for the U.S. team.

NORBA ROUND 5, MOUNT SNOW, VT – JUNE 18-20:

Downhill:
– Kathy Pruitt (LunaChix) wins by 18 seconds! Taking her first NORBA win
of the year as well as the first NORBA win for the FOX Downhill Factory
Fork.
– Lisa Sher (Chumba Wumba) rode her DH Factory Fork and DHX shock to third
place.
Mountain Cross:
– Congratulations to Jill Kitner (Team Yeti) for winning and maintaining
her overall Mountain Cross lead. Kathy Pruitt (LunaChix) and Melissa Buhl
(KHS) raced to fourth and fifth.
Cross-Country:
– Shonny Vanlandingham maintained her overall leader position in
cross-country by finishing third with LunaChix teammate Katerina Hanusova
placing fifth.
Short Track:
– LunaChix Shonny Vanlandingham and Katerina Hanusova teamed up to place
third and fourth. Paul Rowney (Team Yeti) enjoyed winning at Big Bear so
much he decided to do it again at Mount Snow.

WORLD CUP ROUND 5, SCHLADMING, AUSTRIA – JUNE 19-20:
Downhill:
– Marielle Saner (Team Maxxis) won the Downhill with a DHX rear shock..
4X:
– Karim Amour took first in the 4X riding a TALAS fork and a new RP3 shock.
Cross-Country:
– Thomas Frischknecht (Swiss Power/Scott) warmed up for Athens with a
fourth place!
– Paola Pezzo (Gatorade) continued her come back with a fifth place.
– Team BMC riders Petra Henzi placed 7th with her teammate Katrin Leumann
in 10th.
– Alison Dunlap (LunaChix) is still fighting for an Olympic berth and was
the highest placed American in 9th.

WORLD CUP ROUND 4, LES DEUX ALPS, FRANCE – JUNE 12-13:

Downhill:
– Tracey Mosley (Kona) takes the downhill riding her Kona with a DHX rear
shock.

NORBA ROUND 4, SNOWSHOE, WV – JUNE 11-13:

Downhill:
– Jared Graves (Team Yeti) rode his FOX Factory DH fork to fifth.
– LunaChix Kathy Pruitt and Marla Streb raced to second and third place,
after Marla sprained her ankle in practice
Mountain Cross:
– Ross Milan (Team Yeti) got his first Norba win of the season.
– Jill Kitner (Team Yeti) beat all the ladies, with Melissa Buhl (KHS)
riding to third and Lisa Sher (Chumba Wumba) in fourth.
Cross-Country:
– LunaChix, LunaChix, LunaChix: Alison Dunlap first, Shonny Vanlandingham
second and Katerina Hanusova in third. That is one hot podium!
Short Track:
– Team Yeti’s Paul Rowney and Trent Lowe teamed up to ride to third and
fifth.
– LunaChix once again dominated the women’s field with Alison in first,
Shonny in third and Katerina in 4th.
