February 11, 2010 (London, ON) – The Forest City Velodrome is pleased to announce that as part of the race night on Saturday, April 3, the Elite Women’s race will have a $500 Bonus in prizes. The Elite Women will contest a 100-lap Endurance race with a huge bonus attached to the prize list.

The FCV-Mary Kelly Memorial (April 3, 2010) will feature a prize list of $500 to the top three finishers.  The prize list will include, $250 for first, $150 for second, $100 for third. Lap preems will also be added throughout the event

This event is intended to draw women racers from across Canada and the United States. The prize pool is the largest purse for women’s racing in the 5-year history of Forest City Velodrome. A further announcement will be made shortly about the Elite men’s race on the same night.

The prize list will include, $250 for first, $150 for second, $100 for third.

The only qualifier is that there must be 12 starters. The race will be a mixture of Juniors, Master and Elite women. The competition will be open competition for all women from the age of 14+. Registration will be at the Ontario Cycling Association website beginning Monday, February 15, 2010.
