Forest City Velodrome 6-day Races – Day 4

October 28, 2006 (London, ON) – After day four of the 6-Day bike races at London’s Forest City Velodrome the standings are closer than ever. Team Hamilton was the first to gain a lap and take the race lead. Shortly after that it was London and Vancouver.

Team Brantford, the overall race leaders at the start of day four, were continually attacked throughout the sessions by the other teams. As a result Team Vancouver and Team Delhi have moved ahead of them by a single point and the other teams are right at their doorstep.

The constant attacks and mad dashes for sprint points kept the spectators on the edge of their seats the entire night.

Going into the last 10 lap sprint of the night for double points any one of four teams could have taken the overall win. In the end it was Team Vancouver, Dave Byer and Keith Thorarison, out sprinting the others to move into a tie for first place with Team Delhi’s Michael Renneboog and Stephen Meyer.

Racing continues Saturday at 7pm and winds up on Sunday starting at 2pm
