March 25, 2007 (London, ON) – ‘A’ Teams: On Saturday evening it was Team Windsor night at the velodrome. Team mates Daniele Defranceschi and Chris Morden combined points in the first event, the scratch race, to take the lead.

In the final lap of the first point sprint of the first madison session Morden contacted Eric Robertson of Team Brantford and he in turn contacted Dave Byer of Team Delhi. Both riders went down hard and had to withdraw from the evenings racing. Everyone is waiting to find out if they will be able to continue tomorrow.

At the end of the session Windsor was one point up on Team London, Stephen Meyer and Brandon Throop.
Rob Good and Lorne Falkenstein came over from the ‘B’ teams and substituted for the injured Robertson and Byer.

Eon D’Ornellas who is the Team Burlington sponsor put up four prime sprints in the last madison session and that got things flying. After the second prime sprint Teams Windsor, London and Burlington had opened up a big gap on the other three and continued on to take a lap.

The final point sprint for double points saw Mike Renneboog of Team Delhi throw on the afterburners and nip DeFranceschi of Windsor at the line.

‘B’ Teams

Team U.S.A. improved over the first day and were able to take today’s win.

Team Tri-City led by Alex Fournier captured the scratch race but dropped to one point behind Team London by the end of the first madison. London was leading Tri-City by 2 points after the miss & out. In the final madison Team U.S.A. led by Joe Brennan broke away with Team Niagara to lap both London and Tri-City and completely change the standings.
