June 16, 2006 – Live ticker and live stream on the adidas Slopestyle homepage feature the opportunity to observe the freeride event of the year in real time. Thus, even those who can’t see the freeride elite for themselves on location, are able to follow the adidas Slopestyle.

The world’s best freeriders battle each other at the third adidas Slopestyle in Saalbach Hinterglemm in Salzburger Land on Saturday, 17th June 2006. Following their great success of the RockShox Ticket2Style, the five best rookies from four different nations are able to match up with the freeride pros from all over the world. Of course one shouldn’t miss such a great event. As not every fan made it to Saalbach Hinterglemm, the organisers offer those who can’t be here the opportunity to follow the event live.

That’s why the adidas Slopestyle homepage features a live ticker and broadcasts the main event from the second qualification onwards via a live stream. “For a lot of fans the distance to Saalbach Hinterglemm is too far. It’s important though, that the freeride community is able to follow the event live”, says event director Mike Hamel.

Not only the distance, but also the soccer world cup in Germany, that captures almost the whole media, forced the organisers to come up with an idea to provide the fans with live pictures and information. Even the riders are thrilled about the possibility to follow the event live. “We think that’s really cool. This way our family and friends can watch us ride tomorrow” say the Lacondeguy-brothers from Spain.
