February 13, 2007 – Floyd Landis will publish a book about his life entitled “Positively False” scheduled for publication in late June according to AP. Landis, who won the 2006 Tour de France, tested positive for elevated levels of testosterone to epitestosterone in his urine after stage 17 and may now become the first winner to be stripped of his title in the 104-year history of the TdF.
Few details are available about the book other than it will describe his life growing up in a Pennsylvania Mennonite community and about his love for cycling.
While Landis has yet to be found guilty of an infraction related to the 2006 Tour, in a deal last week with the French anti-doping agency, the AFLD, Landis agreed not to race in France again until 2008.
Landis”š blog, www.floydlandis.com, currently contains no information about the book, focusing instead on his recovery from hip surgery last year. The latest update there was posted yesterday.
