May 17, 2006 – Round 2 of the FloraGLO BC Cup Series is in the books, with a new Team on top of the Pro 1/2 Men’s standings. Rob Britton, of Team Giga-Bike/La-Z Boy, Vancouver Island’s only Trade Team dedicated to the development of Junior and Espoir racers, takes charge of the Series as it enters the Victoria Cycling Festival. Tied for second in the Championship, only 1 point adrift, are Masi Adobe’s Scott Goguen and fresh from a stint racing overseas for the National Team, Symmetrics’ Brad Fairall.

Enjoying a larger points cushion, Symmetrics Mandy Poitras, World Cup track rider and podium finisher in both Series events to date, leads the Women’s standings over Team Coastal’s rising star Lee Darling and 2005 BC Cup Champion, Marni Hambleton (Symmetrics).
