April 21, 2004 – Davide Rebellin (Gerolsteiner) has made it an impressive few days, taking Fleche Wallone after his Amstel Gold race. After 200km in the saddle, it came to the last climb: the Mur de Huy. The Gerolsteiner man won today over Saeco's Danielo Di Luca and Matthias Kessler (T-Mobile). Canada's Michael Barry (USPS) finished close to the mix, in 41st.
In the women's race, France's Sonya Huget has won over Germany's Hanka Kupfernagel. We will have more results as well as a Michael Barry diary and Cor Vos photos later today. Sue Palmer-Komar finished an impressiev fourth, riding exceptionally well on the final climb.
Other Canadians in the women's race were Lyne Bessette, in 18th, and Genevieve Jeanson in 30th, Amy Moore in 55th and Nicole Demars in 103rd.
