July 20, 2009 (Ottawa, ON) – The driver of a minivan involved in a hit-and-run that took down five cyclists in Ottawa on Sunday has been arrested. According to a witness, the van plowed into the group of five experienced riders near the intersection of March Road and Solandt Road in Kanata.

All five victims were taken to hospital, with two suffering critical injuries. The driver and vehicle in question were not at the scene when emergency crews arrived, but reportedly he turned himself in later in the day. For the full story, read the Ottawa Citizen article here.
