October 8, 2009 (London Ontario) – The Forest City Velodrome is pleased to announce that there will be over $800 up for grabs this weekend during the Ontario Omnium Championships. The 5-event Omnium starts at 1pm on Saturday afternoon with women and men competing for the cash – the five events are the 1,000m TT, 3km TT, flying lap, Points and Scratch races. In addition to the Omnium, there will be an open Sprint Tournament with $200 on offer for the competitors. Both events are open to any rider wishing to participate, entry fees are set at $30.  The competition is open to Cadets, Juniors, Masters and Elite racers.

The sprint and mass start events begin at 6pm.
