January 21, 2007 – It’s over. Two exciting event-packed days of indoor track racing at the Forest City Velodrome. The goal of the FCV Association is to develop youth in the sport of cycling and these two days have shown that the plan is working. The junior men and women are showing remarkable improvement with each race. Riders like 14-year-old Thomson Remo from Fort DuLac, Wisconsin is a typical example. He arrived and rode the steeply banked velodrome for the very first time on Saturday and took to it like a duck to water. The Quebec ladies also showed that they could adapt to the track very quickly.

Kirk Albers was the top point maker for team USA picking up 8 points, with team members Joe Brennan picking up 6 points and Thomson Remo 3 points. Top point-scorer for Quebec was Martin Roseboom with 7 and top Ontario rider was Joanna Wiersma with 9 points.

Next race is scheduled for Saturday Feb. 3 at 7pm.
