July 5, 2004 – A public meeting for community comment on the propose sports
park at the CNE (skateboard/BMX) is scheduled for Monday, July 19 at 7p.m.
at the Queen Elizabeth Building at Exhibition grounds. The meeting will take
place in the Fountain room, on the second floor.

The proposed Sports Park is moving along, albeit slowly. After the community
meeting comes official approval from the Board of Directors for Exhibition
Place, then official approval from Toronto City Council. After many years,
green flags are starting to appear.

But in order to see a Sports Park in about two years, your support is needed
now. Come and voice your opinion and show any community residents opposed to
the idea of a Sports Park that this facility is needed in this (as close as
we’ll ever get to) downtown location.
