EuroCycler Launches Women\’s Clinic

December 8, 2003 – EuroCycler and Team Speed Queen's Giana Roberge have announced that they will offer a special Women's Cycling Clinic as part of the EuroCycler's spring training program at its bicycling-dedicated resort near Gerona, Spain. This special clinic is scheduled for March 20 – 27, 2004 and EuroCycler is now taking reservations.

To help female cyclists improve their riding skills and provide a place for women to discuss their unique cycling questions and issues, EuroCycler has teamed up with Giana Roberge and Laury Saligman to design a program especially for women cyclists. For four years, Giana Roberge served as coach and manager of the Saturn Cycling Women's Team and is also a national champion time trialist. Laury Saligman is a successful Cat II racer who knows firsthand the difficulty of balancing a career, personal life and full cycling slate.

Women's clinic participants will join other EuroCycler guests for daily rides along the scenic Spanish Mediterranean coast. The unique ride program allows guests to choose from up to 10 different levels of speed groups. Each is led by an experienced rider who will offer personalized instruction to every member in the group.

Women's Cycling Clinic guests will also take part in exclusive discussion forums and skills clinics created especially for female cyclists. The topics for these forums will include subjects like finding a bike that fits properly, dealing with seat comfort issues and balancing cycling with family and social life — topics that go beyond what most women would feel comfortable discussing with male riders.

Like other EuroCycler programs, the trip also offers plenty of opportunities for participants to meet and mingle with other guests, who include top cyclists and triathletes from across Europe and North America. For more information, visit www.eurocycler.com or call 1.866.789.3876.
