November 9, 2006 – Come ride with Escape Velocity Cycling Club for a worthy cause, the “Peloton for Presents Toy Ride.” On Saturday November 18th, join us in a Toy/Food drive to benefit the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau and the Greater Vancouver Food Banks.

We would all agree the Lower Mainland is a pretty good place to live. The coming holiday season brings families together for good food and good times, and we want to extend this experience to those less fortunate.

Bring an unwrapped gift (or monetary contribution) and/or food item to the drop off area at Locarno (see below), and join the peloton for a short loop around UBC. Monetary contributions are preferable (cash/cheques made out to the LMCB) and contributions over $10.00 will receive a tax receipt.

– Where: Jericho Beach Parking lot by the youth hostel on Discovery.

Can’t make it to the event? You can drop off donations to La Bicicletta on Saturday November 11th between noon and closing. A table will be set up with an EV member attending.
