April 28, 2008 – On Sunday May 4, 2008, Team Escape Velocity cycling club is hosting the Warp Speed Trial in Abbotsford, British Columbia. This 20.6 km out-and-back time trial course will challenge riders of all abilities. For just the $20 entry fee, you can suffer in this “race of truth” and still have enough money left over to pay for the disk wheel, aero bars, aero helmet and other wind cheating/speed enhancing accessories that make time trialing so much fun.

Event Details

Date: May 4, 2008

Location: Parking and start @ the corner of 8th. Ave and Townline Rd. in Abbotsford.

Time: Sign-on from 8:00AM to 9:00AM. The first rider will start at 9:15 with subsequent riders at 1 minute intervals. Start time will be determined by registration order. Race completion is expected before noon.

Cost: $20

Registration: Registration is exclusively on-site. All riders must carry a valid UCI licence or Cycling BC Citizen Race License for 2008 regardless of origin, or purchase a one-event Cycling BC membership. One-event insured membership will be available for purchase during sign-on.

Participants without a valid 2008 UCI licence or Cycling BC Citizen License or a one-event insured membership will not be permitted to start.

Distance: The course is 20.6km total distance (out and back).

– Men: Categories 1/2, 3 ,4, 5
– Women: Category 1 / 2 , 3 , 4
– Juniors Men / Women: U15, U17, U19
