August 20, 2009 (Brussels, Belgium) – Tyler Farrar (USA) Garmin-Slipstream is poised to win the 2009 Eneco Tour following his third stage win on Saturday as he took Stage 4 from Hasselt to Libramont, 221.2km over Edvald Boasson Hagen (Nor) Team Columbia – HTC in 2nd and Francesco Gavazzi (Ita) Lampre – N.G.C. in third. On Stage 3 from Niel to Hasselt, 158.3km, Farrar settled for second behind Belgium speed king Tom Boonen (Bel) Quick Step. Canada’s Svein Tuft, who is supporting Farrar’s top of the podium goals, is in 102nd overall.
