May 31, 2015 (Albstadt, GER) – Julien Absalon (Fra) BMC scored his 30th Word Cup victory winning the 34.36km Elite Men’s race today at round #2  of the UCI MTB World Cup XC in Albstadt, Germany.

Absalon was in a see-saw battle with Nino Schurter (Sui) Scott-Odlo for almost the entire 8-lap race as Schurter attacked on the last lap and established a gap but crashed in one of the final corners allowing Absalon to pass him and claim the win.

Jaroslav Kulhavy (Cze) Specialized Racing finished alone in third while Florian Vogel (Sui) Focus XC Team was 4th and Mathias Fluckiger (Sui) Stoeckli Pro Team was 5th. The top Canadian was Raphael Gagne (Team Canada) in 22nd.
