(Telluride, Colorado) – – Team Giant’s Dustin Adams took podium honors at
the fourth stop on the UCI World Cup Downhill Tour. Starting with his
victory at the Canadian National Championships last year, and coming
through with two top-five finishes at the NORBA Nationals this year, Adams
is emerging as one of the hottest new talents on the World Downhill scene.

After qualifying in twenty-fifth position, Adams sat in the Leaders Chair
for the television cameras for nearly 20 minutes before being unseated by
the eventual winner of the event, Steve Peat.

“I bobbled a little in the woods once, slid out a bit near the finish, and
only lost the race by 1.12 seconds,” states Adams. “I’m just happy to get
fourth place at only my third World Cup event.”

Scheduled as part of the 360 Degrees Outdoor Sports Festival, the John
Tomac-designed downhill course was fast, dusty and technical, with rock and
tree gardens and a 20-foot crowd-pleasing drop-in to the finish hill where
spectators could watch nearly one-third of the race unfold.
