July 29, 2013 (Penticton, BC) – We are pleased to announce that rideokanagan.com is hosting a downtown Penticton cycling criterium on Thursday, August 22.

After being involved with two previous downtown cycling criteriums, rideokanagan.com has decided to take advantage of new opportunities by moving the criterium to coincide with the Challenge Penticton week of events. This year, people travelling to Penticton for the Challenge Triathlon will see an exciting cycling criterium – which is a circuit based multi-lap event through the streets of downtown Penticton – with skill level ranging from beginner riders to elite athletes. Our mission of creating opportunities for young cyclists remains strong, and we are proud to continue to help more young people experience the benefits of cycling and a healthy lifestyle.

Early bird registration is now open here. Early bird cost is $20 for licenced riders and $30 for riders without insurance. Anyone interested in getting involved as a sponsor or volunteer should contact rideokanagan@gmail.com.
