April 11, 2004 – Current Canadian road champion Dominique Perras has secured a contract for the 2004 season with US professional team OFOTO. The 30-year-old Canadian and olympic hopeful will begin his schedule with them at the Tour of Georgia, April 20-25.
“I'm very enthusiastic to be joining the team. I already know a few of the riders and I will now have access to a really good calendar of races. I am very happy that this deal has come at a very good moment. Initially I had a good Olympic preparation plan with the Canadian National team but for various reasons most of their projects were cancelled.”
“I am very thankful to Time for their involvement in this deal, as well I would like to thank Tim Hortons, Guru bikes and Shimano Canada for their support those last few months, when I really needed it.”
Dominique Perras will race this weekend at the Sea Otter classic in California with the Canadian National team.
