1) The Community Bicycle Network (CBN) presents Former City of Toronto Chief Planner Paul Bedford

“You should be able to live your life without owning a car.” With statements like this, Bedford challenges conventional thinking within city planning circles including communities, developers, politicians and staff. Mr. Bedford's 30-minute presentation at the CBN Speaker Series will be followed by a question, answer and discussion period with the audience.

3) Moving the Economy (MTE) presents:

Beyond Planning: Procurement & Deployment of Regional Transportation & Multi-Application Smart Cards

MTE and the Integrated Mobility Systems consortium invite you to a half-day workshop for all organizations and individuals with an interest in transportation and/or multi-application smart cards. This small, informal event will bring together a panel of experts who are already engaged in implementing such systems on the ground. 8)  Pollution Probe's Clean Air Commute

Every year, Pollution Probe invites hundreds of workplaces in the Greater Toronto Area to participate in our annual Clean Air Commute. More workplaces participated in last year's Clean Air Commute than ever before. A record number of workplaces and employees helped to remove over 267 tonnes of pollutants from our atmosphere in just five days. How? They simply left their cars at home for one week (unless they were carpooling) and took cleaner modes of transportation to and from work.
