April 22, 2004 – Hello Pedal. Well, the race was only 97K and it just flew by.  In Fleche-Wallone, we climbed seven hills. On the second to last one, the Cote de Ahin, I gave it a go. 

 I was trying to bridge to the break and almost made it, but unfortunately we were caught.  I must say though, that the energy was excellent on the final climb, the Mur de Huy, despite my legs cramping at that point due to my earlier effort. All in all, it was an incredible course, a great day, and I am really glad I had the opportunity to compete on it.  My husband Michael and I both really enjoyed the course, the spectators, and the general ambience.
