David Boily Without Team for 2013… ?
by John Symon
December 8, 2012 – Canada’s David Boily is apparently again without a contract for 2013 according to Le Soleil. We reported on November 7 how the 22-year-old Boily, together with Guillaume Boivin had signed with Cannondale Pro Cycling after their SpiderTech p/b C10 team suspended operations for 2013. Now it appears there was a contract problem and Boily is again looking for a team. Argentian sprinter Lucas Sebastian Haedo has taken Boily’s place with Cannondale.
Boily finished second in both the 2012 U23 Canadian road championships and U23 ITT. In 2011, he wore the yellow jersey four days at the Tour de l’avenir.
The situation seems quite different with Boivin who posted yesterday on Facebook that, “I’m going for a fitting on my new bike this afternoon. The Guru fit specialists, who are now part of the Cannondale family, will be there to help us find the perfect position. And interestingly, I won my first race on a Guru!”
