The 2010 Cycling BC Annual General Meeting will be held on Saturday, October 30t, 2010 at the Park Inn Hotel:

Information regarding the election of officers and a proposed change to the constitution/bylaws have been posted on the Cycling BC website (www.cyclingbc.net) along with proposed changes to the 2011 membership fees. Details of a special resolution have also been posted. A copy of our audited 2009 Financial Statements will be posted shortly.
Downeaster 2010 MTB Race – Oct. 24
Join us on the scenic IMBA-approved Beck Trail in Murray River, PEI for a challenging race and a chance to win great prizes. Registration is $40 per person. There is a limited number of cycling jerseys available for the first 30 participants. All are welcome! Beginner, intermediate, or advanced riders, bike solo or with a two-person, three-person, or four-person team.

La Barriere Cross – Oct. 3
Date: October 3, 2010
Location: La Barriere Park, Winnipeg, MB
This is race #3 of the cyclocross cup series. Details here.
*Note that the bridge just north of the park on Waverley is washed out. You will need to access the park from the south off of Hwy 247 (Marchand Rd). Hwy 247 can be reached on the east from Hwy 75 (Pembina Hwy) a few kilometers south of Saint Norbert or on the west via LaSalle. See map below.
Times:
Kids (U13): 1:00 PM (15 min + 1 lap)
B-race (B level, citizen, U15, & U17): 1:45 (30 min + 2 laps)
A-race: 3:00 (45 min + 2 laps)
– Cost: $15 for U17 and above. Free for U15 and citizens holding a MCA citizen license. Cash only.
– Categories: Kids (U13, U11, U9); B level (includes U15 and citizens); A level
– Race Course: The course will be open for pre-riding at about noon on race day, but no sooner due to concerns about soil erosion. Length will be 3 to 3.5 km. The course will consist of grass fields, forest paths, crushed gravel path, and grass fields.
– Participation Series: All A, B race entrants are eligible to win a set of cyclocross race wheels (choice of tubular or clincher). Details here
