November 15, 2005 – Some incredible events are taking place this Saturday, November 19. In the morning following the Club President’s meeting, you are invited to attend a discussion on the dynamic new youth cycling program…Sprockids. Doug Detwiller, the inventor of the program is coming in from BC to introduce and answer questions on his youth strategy.

Following a free lunch for OCA members, Laird Knight will discuss Successful and Mutually Profitable Sponsorship Programs. Laird is well known for creating and fostering six figure plus cycling sponsorship programs and is a member of the Mountain Bike Hall of fame.

After Laird will be Chuck Hodge speaking about excellent event organization. Chuck is the Technical Director for the Tour de Georgia, the largest stage race in North America. He has organized and been a part of hundreds of events over the past two decades, from large budgets to bare bones.

At 5pm, a reception will be held in the grand ballroom and at 6pm, Olympic Gold medallist Lori-Ann Muenzer will be there to speak of her experience in Athens.

At 6:30pm, the OCA will hand out the annual awards to the cream of the crop in the province, as well as paying special tribute to our Canada Games Team. All attendees will have a chance to win a Cadillac Road Bike (Value $1500) or other prizes donated by Norco and East Side Marios. Call the OCA office to book your last minute ticket to the banquet. Buffet dinner, slide show and great music will follow the awards.
